Training on Management of Personnel in GMP Environment

An interactive two-day training programme was held on the topic of Management of Personnel in GMP Environment, as part of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for the Georgian Biopharmaceutical Cluster. The training proceeded with high level of attendance and engagement from the attendants.

Successful implementation of the quality standard requires a human resource management system that ensures continuous supervision of personnel to minimize risks and maintain hygiene, quality and safety of processes. The training on Management of Personnel was delivered as a continuation of the series of trainings on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), ongoing since May 2022.

This time the focus of the trainings were on the management of quality assurance personnel, which is crucial for the overall success of GMP implementation in practice. Quality assurance personnel play a key role in the daily execution of quality and safety procedures.

The training programme was conducted by highly qualified international and national experts and with a high level of engagement from 26 representatives of pharmaceutical companies. Among them, 69% were female. The trainings made it possible for the member companies to come closer to becoming GMP certified. Thanks to the trainings and coaching, we successfully passed the inspection and became GDP compliant” - Mariam Kveselava, Quality assurance responsible person at Neopharm.

Training on validation of qualifications subject

With the support of the European Union (EU), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) organized interactive two-day long training sessions on the Validation of qualifications subject. The training was held to complete the program on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Implementation of the quality standard requires a rigorous management system to be in place to ensure complete adherence to the international quality scheme of GMP. The training, which was organized on 12-13 December 2022, marked the conclusion of the program which commenced in May 2022.

The training was held for the Georgian biopharmaceutical cluster, which brings together both bacteriophage and herbal pharmaceutical companies and their supporting institutions and aims to help members develop competitiveness, increase sales and gain access to new markets.

The training program was organized under the UN Joint Program on Innovative Action for Private Sector Competitiveness in Georgia. The program is funded by the European Union (EU) with a budget of USD 6 million and implemented by four UN agencies – the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The training was led by both local and international highly qualified experts who combined the theoretical component with exercises, workshops, and individual coaching sessions. The training was held with the involvement of 20 members of pharmaceutical companies among them, 75% were female.
The program received great interest and feedback from the beneficiaries, and the European Union and (UNIDO) will continue to support the Georgian biopharmaceutical cluster in the future in various directions.

Training on Quality Risk Management

A two-day interactive training on Quality Risk Management principles and methodology was held as part of the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) program.

Implementation of the quality standard requires a rigorous management system to be in place to ensure full adherence to the international quality scheme of GMP.  
This training was devoted to such an important topic of the GMP standard as quality risk analysis and serves to deepen the knowledge and experience gained during the (GMP) trainings.

The training was held for the Georgian biopharmaceutical cluster, which brings together both bacteriophage and herbal pharmaceutical companies and their supporting institutions and aims to help members develop competitiveness, increase sales and gain access to new markets.

Training on the topic of Change Control, Deviation Management/CAPA System

In Tbilisi On 25-26 October 2022,  was held interactive two-day training on the topic of Change Control, Deviation Management/CAPA Systems.

The CAPA system focuses on the identification of key root causes for quality issues and deviations, which consequently makes it possible to choose the most effective path for corrective actions. 
Implementation of the quality standard requires a management system to be in place for the successful execution of corrective and preventive actions to avoid negative impacts from deviations.

The training was held for the Georgian biopharmaceutical cluster, which brings together both bacteriophage and herbal pharmaceutical companies and their supporting institutions and aims to help members develop competitiveness, increase sales and gain access to new markets.

Training on the topic of Documentation Management

With the financial support of the European Union (EU), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) organized an interactive two-day training on the topic of Documentation Management, as part of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) training.

Documentation Management allows manufacturers to ensure that documentation, record-keeping, and book-keeping systems are in place for the reasons of traceability, data integrity, and quality control.

Training in e-marketing and e-commerce program

September 2022 – With the support of the European Union (EU), the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) created an E-marketing and Commerce program to help Georgian pharmaceutical companies with enhancing their digital presence.

The training course was designed for pharmaceutical companies and aimed at developing an e-marketing and commerce strategy, to create the reader's skills in the e-field such as website development, search engine optimization, and e-commerce management.

To achieve this goal, a program was developed that included online training, customized training sessions, and e-marketing guides specifically for bacteriophage and herbal medicine manufacturers.

Good Distribution Practice training (GDP)

For the Georgian biopharmaceutical cluster members was held a two-day training on the Good Distribution Practice  (GDP).

GDP is a globally recognized standard that helps pharmaceutical companies ensure the safe supply of medicines to the market.
The training was conducted taking into account the feedback received during the organized (GMP) training in May 2022.

The training was held for the Georgian biopharmaceutical cluster, which brings together both bacteriophage and herbal pharmaceutical companies and their supporting institutions and aims to help members develop competitiveness, increase sales and gain access to new markets.

The training program was organized under the UN Joint Program on Innovative Action for Private Sector Competitiveness in Georgia. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training

On May 30 and 31, 2022, in Tbilisi was held a two-day training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

GMP is a world-recognized quality standard that provides the necessary conditions for safe product production and reduces risks in the manufacturing process.
